When the client is in close proximity i.e. if the deployment site is located in the same city/country as we are. This helps in understanding and addressing the clients’ need better and will be advantageous to both.
This model enables face-to-face interaction with the clients’ team as and when required and would be beneficial when the client’s requirements are expected to change during the course of the project or when the scope of the project is not well defined. Development and deployment teams can facilitate accommodating changes faster and in an efficient manner. This also makes the provision for the customer to involve into the activities of the project and play an important role in having significant and sufficient control on the entire development process.
Client’s who have the requirement of getting the solutions developed but do not have the immediate flexibility of expanding their facilities to be able to accommodate the resources onsite, can go with the offsite delivery model.
Some of the benefits that can be derived from this model are:
- Clients’ requirements can be addressed faster
- Cost effective
- Enhanced control on the development process
- Better and clear understanding between the clients’ team and the development teams.
